Ray White Whangarei named among best in New Zealand

By Admin Whangarei

It has been an award-winning, and record-breaking year for the team at Ray White Whangarei – recognised once again for their outstanding sales, leadership, marketing, systems, client satisfaction and community focus.

More than 1,200 people gathered for the Ray White New Zealand Awards ceremony held at Spark Arena in Auckland on Thursday 31 August 2023 to celebrate and recognise the top offices and individual achievers throughout the leading Ray White network.

Already a Chairman’s Elite Business Leaders office, positioning them in the top 3% of Ray White offices internationally and solidifying their place as leaders in the Ray White Group, the Ray White Whangarei team took home several awards including the prestigious CEO Cup award.

The CEO Cup is the most coveted award for the Ray White network, and is a prize awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to Ray White. It recognises people who are an intrinsic part of the group and have contributed to the overall success and growth of the company and was this year awarded to Ray White Whangarei & Tutukaka business owner, Vanessa McKenzie.

Ray White managing director Dan White said the award was well deserved.

“Vanessa McKenzie regularly addresses the group and shares her knowledge and experiences with offices who look to replicate their business model and philosophy.” Mr White said.

“She has created a high-performance culture of discipline and structure in her business. A business that dominates the Whangarei region.”

Ms McKenzie said the award came as a huge surprise, and that she couldn’t have done it without her team.

“It’s a huge honour to receive such high recognition, and it’s a testament to the hard work of our Ray White Whangarei team members who come to work every day with dedication, determination and the right attitude.”

“Ray White provides such amazing tools. Our job is to implement them and I have a team around me who are willing to embrace and try something new, so this is really our success as a team,” she said.

In an awards category dominated by Auckland and other city offices, Whangarei continue to be a standout business – and have positioned themselves in the top 10 New Zealand offices for over nine years now since joining the Group in 2011. This year the office received the following awards:

  • CEO Cup: Vanessa McKenzie
  • Office of the Year #4
  • Auction Office #1
  • Customer Experience Award (Office)
  • Marketing Excellence: Thomas Reil
  • Community Award (Office)

“Some believe that success breeds success. At Ray White we believe it has to be worked for, all day, every day. We never stray from our goal of wanting to be the best in the business – trust, confidence, and entrepreneurship is what has gotten us to where we are today” said co-director, Allan Sykes.

Without a doubt, our team’s belief and understanding of the auction process has been pivotal in our growth, and comes back to our primary focus of doing the best possible job for our vendors,” he adds.

“To receive further awards recognising our agents’ outstanding levels of service, skill and customer satisfaction is an honour,” added fellow co-director, Rod Parkinson, in referring to the Customer Satisfaction award for the Ray White Whangarei Office, and Thomas Reil’s Marketing Excellence award.

“We work for our customers – without compromise! We always thought we were on track with our customer focus, but to be recognised at a national level helps us solidify that we are doing the right thing, and are on the right path. Thank you to all our clients who let us continue to do what we love and do best,” he adds.

“To follow up our real estate performance-based awards with the Community Service Award is also humbling.  This award honours Ray White businesses that go above and beyond in their local area and have had a positive impact on the community which embodies everything we have tried to achieve with our We Can Help With That Community Fund.”

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, clients and partners for their ongoing support, and congratulate our sales, property management, administration and marketing teams for another great year. To our team: “Thank you”, your passion is evident, thank you for all that you do. You remain central to the services we provide and you continue to amaze us and make us proud!” Ms McKenzie concludes.

Earlier this year Ray White Whangarei were also awarded the coveted title: Northland Real Estate Agency of the Year by RateMyAgent – who acknowledge agencies most consistently recommended by local New Zealand home sellers. RateMyAgent is New Zealand’s number one reviews website, and their awards are the only of their kind in the industry, based entirely on customer satisfaction. To win means to have secured the highest satisfaction rating across the country – celebrating and recognising real estate agents and agencies that provide truly excellent client service to home buyers, sellers and landlords.
